Buzz-To-Brand. Buzzology and Buzzworks

Everyone speaks about Buzz, some individuals proclaim themselves to be Buzz experts, queens, divas, professionals and, of course, coaches.

In the words of Douglas Castle Vice-Chairman of The National Networker Companies says (join our TNNW GICBC free at http://bit.ly/12EOjk, and then grab our RSS feed or Daily email delivery by going to http://bit.ly/aRuR3v and making your choice), “Buzz will build your brand, and your brand will draw your market to you.”

If you go to http://ping.fm/sqnCT, you will find the world’s briefest but best handbook on what “Buzz” really is; how it works; how to utilize and leverage it and how to measure its effectiveness in terms of return on dollars and time invested.

What we have also done is to have taken the different aspects of buzz (there are many variables) and created a “plain English” understandable menu of alternative buzz services within the parameters of your (you, being the client) budget, and your objectives.

Please take a quick look at our page (still in beta), and let us know what you think. In fact, if you have different aspects which you would like added to our scope of services we would be very, very interesting in learning your thoughts about those. You collaborate – we compensate.

Thank you for your consideration, and we are certain that you will find our beta site to be very informative and helpful. Please feel free to contact us at http://bit.ly/dAtztm. Let’s be interactive. In fact, at TNNW, we count upon our clients to provide us with their input so that we can build a better product to more precisely suit their needs.

Newswire Services and Press Releases ? Be Better Informed

The most cost-effective way of immediately reaching a giant audience is through a well prepared and properly-submitted news release.

PR Web and PR Newswire are the industry’s dominant broadcast media, and they are powerful channels to a large potential audience. What many DIY entrepreneurs seem to consistently overlook is that regardless of which service you choose, that’s the least important part of the process.

To optimize your release you must headline it, get it written, get it edited, permeate it with keywords, hyperlinks and powerful quotes, give it third-party credibility in the submission process (i.e., so it doesn’t look like a typical self-serving “press release”) submit it to the right geographical and vertical markets, track it, re-publish it, and more.

The process is complex, but worth doing professionally. If you request that the two primary wire services do all of this for you, you will be overwhelmed at the real cost.

Also, any good release should be part of a broader campaign. Isolated releases are limited in their lasting effectiveness.

Get ready to change your vocabulary. Some new terms: newsworthiness, objectivity, “snaggable” quotes, traction, retention, longevity, echo, stickiness, conversion potential, cross-media conductivity, and others.

Questions: Assuming that there is a trade-off, which would you prefer – a tremendous number of “reads” of the release, or a large number of “hits” on your website, with a good conversion ratio? Are there times (and reasons why you’d want the opposite situation? Weigh in at http://ping.fm/UxYrM . Your input will help The National Networker Companies to build a superior service.

Attention Group Moderators, Leaders, Administrators and Organizers.

We are very interesting in highlighting and discussing various social and business networking and media groups as a new feature (“Featured Organizations and Their Leaders”) to our expanding readership. At The National Networker (http://ping.fm/ILOlG), we would like to start focusing each week on one special cause-based or common-interest based group in its various aspects, including:

• The principle mission or purpose of the group – its reason for being;
• When and how the group was started;
• The leaders, moderators, organizers and their personal and professional backgrounds, interests, businesses and personal leadership attributes;
• The type of individuals who would typically become members;
• The reasons why the group is successful, why it is growing (attracting members), and what “value proposition” it offers its members;
• How much time you dedicate to the business of running the group;
• Your greatest personal victories and challenges in growing the group.

We will run a full-length, specially-featured article on you and your group (subject to your approval), including descriptive information, membership criteria, and the necessary hyperlinks to visit and to join the group. If you have links to file downloads or pages which might add meaningful substance to our article about you and your group. Your actual commitment of time to TNNW for the write-up will be minimal, although we would like to interview you by telephone for one hour or so. We humbly believe that it would be worth your time.

Please simply click on this link in order to introduce yourself, and your group:
http://ping.fm/aos0V or http://ping.fm/MlgVE .

We look forward to hearing from you, and to learning about you! Thanks.

Estelle H. Rauch, LSCW, CGP, a Featured Coumnist with Blog title...

The National Networker prepares you for Managing Your Career at http://ping.fm/pVUUy

“Recently out-of-work professionals over forty-five have found themselves under exceptional stress. They have typically been high performers and spent accordingly. They have families to support, and often high mortgages and other financial commitments eating into savings. The latest AARP magazine reports this group, finding jobs very hard to get, are increasingly venturing into the self-employment world, which we all know poses its own hazards.”

Ms. Rauch gives our readers some candid and extremely helpful insight into the transition from dead corporate careers to the world of the entrepreneur – the group of innovators and risk takers who have historically been young, aggressive and unattached. These new entrepreneurs are making this transition out of necessity, frustration and out of a need to take some direct control back over their own lives. The age of the average entrepreneur is rapidly increasing. These “converts” face many considerations and difficulties in making this transition.

Ms. Rauch has written an article that everyone considering making this transition MUST read. It is highly honest, highly instructive, and (with the passage of time and the steepening unemployment situation in the United States and Overseas), an absolute survival blueprint.

Read the article at http://ping.fm/iaUBC and post your feelings about this rapidly-growing demographic and economic phenomenon right here on this very forum. We are especially interested if you have first-hand stories about the challenges which you have had to face and the means through which you have overcome these potential problems. If you’d like to offer some of your own services, blogsites or website resources to TNNW readers, as well, you may feel free to post your responses on http://ping.fm/0kAWP

You can join The National Networker GICBC and receive our free Weekly Newsletter by clicking on http://twitlik.com/IN

Thank you for your consideration, and for your input. The more responses, the better. Too Many members of the US labor force are in this situation but have chosen to remain silent about it. Let’s help each other deal with the reality of this situation. Please weigh in.

The Results of TNNW Survey # 4 Are Published

The original survey question was highly qualitative, but the results were very telling. The survey question:

“Which five top online social/business networks (please number them in order of effectiveness) have afforded you the most value/results?”

The responses, analysis and implications can be found by clicking on the following link:

http://thenationalnetworker.blogspot.com/2009/11/blue-thing-1-tnnw-surveys-analyses-and_24.html

Just a sampling of the findings:

1. The top two social media were Facebook and Linked In, with Twitter a close third.

2. In the vast majority of cases (> 85%), an individual who choose Linked In as his or her first choice choose Facebook as his or her second choice, and vice versa.

3. The individuals preferring Linked In generally chose it thematically because of the businesslike and focused nature of the platform. High signal-to-noise ratio.

4. The individuals preferring Facebook generally chose it thematically because of the focused nature of the platform, and its relationship -friendly (multimedia) and comprehensive, communicative nature. It is perceived as a mixed business and social medium, each of which aspects is perceived to enhance the other.

You can get your free subscription to the TNNW Newsletter and BLUE TUESDAY at http://twitlik.com/IN or http://twitlik.com/Daily .

Thank you for participating in our surveys, and for making them so informative and successful.

Terri Benincasa, Featured TNNW Columnist, talks about Boomers ? the wealthiest sector of the consumer marketplace. Your comments, please.Blog title...

Boomers (Baby Boomers, as opposed to the nuclear submarines in Tom Clancy Novels) are inarguably the wealthiest, best educated consumer market sector.

They are a growing percentage of the US population, and their influence, lobbying strength, political and corporate positioning, adaptability and consumer culture makes them a terrific target for your product or service – if you are prepared.

Terri talks about what this very special clientele wants…what they look for…and how to gain access to them in her article “Tips For Marketing to the Spending Generation,” at http://ping.fm/Ec3Yq . Just as importantly, she dispels some pop-culture myths about the limitations and conservative nature of the Boomers. They are flexible, willing to pay for better quality and service, and surprisingly artful at transitioning socially and in their careers.

If you’d like to comment on the article, you can either post your comment right here, or at http://ping.fm/zrb7a In fact, you can do both.

TNNW would like your input on the article, AND we would like to know if you market to Boomers. If you do, what are the most significant “do’s and don’t’s”
